January 2006 Progress

We took Bob's sister, Mary, to Mulege so she could select her lot.
We hope she will come to live with us at the casitas.
This is what she saw on the drive.
She took A LOT of pictures...

Mary picked her location behind the garage.
She want's to be away from the action and have a "buffer zone" from us.

I think all the shells in the area and the locals walking every morning assisted in her decision.

We took Mary over to Santispac.
Looked like a "FULL HOUSE"

We also took Mary over to the Mulege Mission.

It ALWAYS amazes us how many trees there are in Mulege.
When Mary was in college, she worked for Kmart too!!!

Our dirt piles are still waiting to be spread...
We brought the tractor back to the USA for repair at our local John Deere Dealer.
They saw the problem immediately...no oil in the rear transmission.
I didn't even see that there was a plug to put oil in the back.
Oh well...We're sealing it up and servicing it while it's in the shop.
We'll bring it back to Mulege in February.

Bob got his FM3 renewed...2300 pesos
The renewal needs to go to La Paz.

Salvador our accountant despachocontable.com got the paperwork ready.
We needed documents to show that all taxes for the corporation were paid so Bob could get the work attachment approved again.

While we were there we paid the Property Taxes...Taxes went down AGAIN this year!!!

Sr Castro has been working on the blueprints for construction of the casitas.
We need to do a few small changes to the floor plans to simplify the units.
This should be easy as there are no load bearing walls in each casita.
Sr. Castro has done the preliminary drawings including plumbing and electrical.
He and Efren have interpeted the drawings we gave them very well.

All casitas are the same same size.
Three Units will be 2 bedroom.
One casita 1 bedroom.
One a kitchen.

Efren ( www.bajaconstructions.com ) says he can start the construction in September.
He is doing 3 houses in Punta Chivato currently.

We'll be back....
